Thank you

A warm thank you to everyone who attended the Worldschool Village in Tarragona - So many memories, so many new friendships created.

We are grateful for having facilitated this meeting for like-minded travellers.

These days, our plans go in new directions, so there is currently no new Village planned.

But you never know, we might create one more down the road. If you want to be informed if we do, then just register for our newsletter. Otherwise... See you out there - somewhere on our wonderful mother earth.

With love

Kind words from fellow worldschoolers who have attended the Worldschool Village in Tarragona

"Being in Tarragona with all of you has been a truly life-changing experience. Huge thanks to the Conrads for organizing, and to everyone who embraced and welcomed us into this beautiful community. We can’t wait to cross paths again soon."

"I just spent two and a half weeks in Tarragona taking my 15-year-old grandson. He knew lots of teens there and wanted to see them again. I knew no-one. I had a great time (as did he). The group was really welcoming to a grandma! I had some great conversations with people from all over, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the place while Jude was asleep or hanging out with his friends. He and I would definitely recommend going along to one of these."

"We spent 11 days in Tarragona with a great bunch of wonderful people. We are no longer full-time travelling, but we wanted to meet up with other people, especially teens who have been outside the system. We really enjoyed our time with all the other, differently thinking men and women. While we are not all of one mind, the group was very welcoming, and it was easy to slot into the fluid setup. Our teens especially felt right at home, and the young people we met were really great at making space and taking care of one another. The whole event was fabulous."

"Solo worldschooling with a teen while working full-time is no joke. You’re always stretched-parenting, working, planning, moving. There’s never enough time for everything. That’s why the Worldschooling Village in Tarragona was such a gift. It’s not just a group of families, it’s a village, a real community, and a safety net. This month, we found our people. When we ran out of food on a Sunday (work, travel, life…), friends showed up with a “survival kit”, fruit, bread, snacks, just enough to get us through until the shops reopened. Another time, I couldn’t take my daughter to the animal sanctuary because I was working, and another family brought her along. And when I did have time, I ended up taking a group of teens with me to Barcelona. You give when you can, you receive when you need. And for a single mum, that kind of support is everything."

"We spent a whole month with great people in Tarragona. The World School Village was very welcoming and inclusive. It was our first time attending this kind of village. Everything was new, and we didn’t know anyone. Our children were very shy. It took them a long time to be close to their peers, but no matter who you were, there was no judgment. Everyone respected each other’s personality and pace. We felt very comfortable doing things in this community. For me, it was great to meet parents who have similar educational concepts. I had a great time to chat with them and learned a lot from them. Thank the organisers for this amazing event. I strongly recommend their event to everyone."
